Why singing?
Through singing, your breath begins to come into a natural rhythm. When you are singing you are natrually breathing in the healthiest way. Through, song and play, your nervous system is also calm and regulated. This is a wonderful way to build connection with your child.
Why does the adult’s nervous system matter?
Having a regulated nervous system as a parent is paramount when you are around young children. Singing helps us regulate our nervous system and in turn supports our child's nervous system as they co relate along side us. In this calm and centered state, we are our most authentic and present self. Parenting from this space is what we all strive to do.
Do I need to be able to sing?
Everyone can sing when given the right encouragement, and every voice is worth of being heard. Whether you sing every day or have never sung before, you are warmly invited to come and be a part of the circle.
How old are the children?
From birth to age 6.
“Come together with other parents and learn to co-regulate through song.”
The album
Enjoy the album we wrote of the children of the songs we sing.
""Once upon a time, as the sun rose high in the summer sky, A Joyful Noise began to ring through the forests of New England.
Twinkling stars and bits of Light, Spiders and Green Grass-and the beauty of This Land around us all found their way into these songs.
With the Angels Strong singing behind us, we gathered our voices and gave Thanks—Thanks a lot!"
We hope, from the bottom of our hearts, that you enjoy every note.
