Circles and gatherings for women in New Ipswich
Because if you are pouring from an empty glass, then no one is benefiting.
When I was a new mom, I was just searching for community, for people who I could walk with along the journey. We give so much to the world on our day to day. These are activities and gatherings to nourish the heart and refill your cup
What is filling you up?
Whether it is your classroom, your homeschooling group, or your family of two — the value of filling up your own cup is the same.
This is not just for older women. It is for mothers, and for the people working with young children.
“If you’re pouring from an empty glass, then no one’s benefiting.”
This has been going on for centuries
Women gathering to hold each other through the parts that are hard, and to mark the parts that matter. Relationship with self first, and then relationship with other.
Who is this for?
It is mothers of young children, and it is woven into teachers and caregivers of young children.
Why start with the woman and not the child?
Because if you are pouring from an empty glass, then no one is benefiting. Even when I am working with a mentee, it comes first — that is part of our initial session together: what is filling you up? And then we go into the work.
What actually happens when women gather with you?
Whether it’s for a song circle or a creative studio, I cultivate a space for exploring the creative genius within each of us.
I believe there is a creatrix within every woman—a part of us that longs to make, sing, imagine, play, and bring something into being. And I believe we need time and space to discover her.
When we gather at the studio, there is no expectation to be an artist or a singer. We come with curiosity. We explore. We create. We listen to ourselves and to one another.
It is less about what we make and more about what we discover within ourselves through the making.
